About the Instructor
(That's our massage class on our last day, October 1998.)
In 2008, I began training therapists in the art of Bamboo-fusion. Because of focusing on our venture into a new continuing ed company, I no longer teach Bamboo.
Having trained 100s of therapists throughout the US and into Canada, my home training studio in Cincinnati is my permanent location. It is here at Affinity Massage Studio that I both teach therapists and maintain my personal client base.
My husband Paul helps me run the back side of the business (and blogs at PaulFredette.com), and we are filled with love and laughter from our 8 children. We also run a website together on improving family life at MaryClaireAndPaul.com. And because I have so much free time, I also specialize in conceptual photography-you can find my photos at MaryClaireFredette.Photography.
In my spare time, I sneak healthy foods into my family's meals and work part time as a professional photography blogger who specializes in conceptual photography and thematic portraits.

Affinity Massage Studio is on Facebook.
In case you're wondering, I graduated from massage school in 1999 and am licensed by the State of Ohio Medical Board for massage (license # 33-008321). The first modality I got certified in was TouchPro chair massage (1998), then Nuturing the Mother pregnancy massage (1999) followed by Ashiatsu barefoot massage (2002), Bamboo-fusion (2006), Ashi-Thai (2009), ACE Massage Cupping (2013), and finally, Rossiter (barefoot pin-and-stretch) (2017). I've also taken sports massage, insurance billing, ethics courses, and more barefoot massage training.
Most recently, I co-created the Center for Barefoot Massage training classes (2017) as well as our first "Relax Track" class, Hot Ashi (2018).
