Ashiatsu classes in Cincinnati:
All levels of Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy classes are held on a regular basis in Cincinnati. For Barefoot Basics, you will receive 25 CEUs that can be applied to AMTA, NCBTMB, ABMP and most state licensing. Tuition is $595. Anterior/Side-lying is now offered after Barefoot Basics classes and may be taken immediately after the first course. Please click here for the Bamboo-fusion schedule and rates.
Ashi-Thai in Cincinnati:
This brand new course offers 16 CEUs during it's two day class. The cost is $399. The therapist learns to do a variation of traditional Thai massage using her/his bodyweight and leg strength, and the client lies fully clothed on a massage table. Be prepared to experience a massage that it great for a warm-up prior to an ashiatsu session and for a stand alone massage!
Ashiatsu and Ashi-Thai classes at your location:
Oftentimes, spas and massage centers find it saves their groups of therapists time by hosting class at their location. There is a minimum requirement of 6-8 students in order to have a class at your location. Minimum depends on travel distance from Cincinnati. Mary-Claire also offers classes that are "on-site" at your location. The photo above shows 5 sets of portable bars at a spa training session. Wondering about the Ashiatsu portable bar dimensions? Weighing in about 75 pounds, they are 7'11" high, 6' long and 68" wide (a little over 5 1/2 feet). They set up in about 20 minutes and can be taken down in about 10 minutes. The portable bars are great for sporting events, poolside massage, health fairs, massage training sessions at your location, etc. The portable ashiatsu bars are available to graduates of the class and can be purchased from from the founder.
