Cincinnati, OH massage therapist and continuing education instructor

Mary-Claire (Brinkman) Fredette received her Bachelor of Arts  in Theatre and Film from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana.  In 1998, she graduated from SHI Integrative Medical Massage School in Lebanon, OH, and received her Ohio LMT license shortly thereafter. Mary-Claire is a professional member of AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association) and has been a guest speaker at massage schools.

She became certified in TouchPro^® chair massage (acupressure) in 1999, Nurturing the Mother^® pregnancy massage in 2000, Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy^® in 2002. Sports massage training, Ashi-Thai and Bamboo-fusion massage round out her massage education.

After learning Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy^® in 2002, Mary-Claire realized what a gift it would be to teach others how to give "the deepest most luxurious massage on the planet". This barefoot massage technique has enabled her to work through full term with 3 pregnancies, one of which was with twins. Mary-Claire has been teaching Ashiatsu since 2004. She also offers classes in Ashi-Thai as well as Bamboo-fusion.

Portable bars allow her to instruct therapists all over the Midwest, and she travels periodically to teach at spas in Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan and Tennessee. Mary-Claire is teaches Bamboo-fusion in a number of cities throughout the U.S as well as in Jamaica.

Mary-Claire is the only authorized instructor for Bamboo-fusion in the Midwest, and she is a senior instructor for Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy. Her permanent training facility and massage therapy studio is located in her home city of Cincinnati, OH.   She lives with her husband, Paul, and their eight (yes, 8!) children in Cincinnati.

Paul Fredette acts as the operations mangager for Affinity Massage Studio. Attending Mt. St. Joseph College in Cincinnati, Paul major was in Music Therapy. He also attended REC music production school in Chillicothe, OH and received high honors upon his completion of the program. He plays the drums, piano, organ and sings.

Paul owned and operated Fredette Enterprises for fifteen years, a janitorial maintenance company in Cincinnati. Organization and creativity are Paul's greatest skills, and he works on marketing for the studio as well as takes care of all the mundane stuff that Mary-Claire doesn't want to! Paul also graciously offers himself as a guest client for Ashiatsu massage classes in Cincinnati.

Hobbies, when he has time for them, include playing music, recording and using his music programs on the computer and non-roughing-it camping. Oh, and he does all this while providing amazing care for our eight children.
